Literature Text

Mariotehplumber worked his way along the outer wall of the fortress, striking it with his mighty hammer.  Each blow was methodically placed and eventually the World 5 fortress started to slowly crumble.  However with each blow the deterioration of the fortress sped up, until stone and mortar were cascading down around Mariotehplumber.  He ignored the smaller debris, allowing them to bounce off his body, the larger pieces he deftly avoided.

Mariotehplumber delivered one last mighty blow and took a few leaps backwards.  He watched with grim satisfaction as the damage proved too great for the fortress, collapsing in on itself.

Once the dust had settled, Mariotehplumber surveyed his handiwork.  A large pile of rubble remained where the fortress had stood.  Taking a deep breath, Mariotehplumber began to climb the pile.  Strewn amongst the rubble were parts of machinery, pipes, metal work and even pieces of Dry Bones, futilely struggling to put themselves back together.  At the peak of the remains, Mariotehplumber kicked aside a piece of rubble, revealing the face of the barely conscious Iggy Koopa.

Mariotehplumber placed a shoe firmly on the rubble over Iggy's chest, exactly like Bowser had done when he stormed Mariotehplumber's home and kidnapped his wife, Rosalina.

"Summon an airship, Mariotehplumber threatened.  "Do it, or today will be your game over!"

Iggy brought one of his arms out from under the rubble, it was feebly clutching on to his wand.  Mariotehplumber raised his hammer, preparing for treachery.  But Iggy did not use the wand to attack, instead he pointed it at the sky and set off a red flare.  The strain proved too much for Iggy and he lost consciousness.

It wasn't long before Mariotehplumber heard the whirring of propellers that signified the approach of a Koopa airship.  Mariotehplumber covered himself in dust and rubble so the crew of the airship wouldn't spot him until it was too late.

For what seemed like an eternity, the airship circled the remains of the fortress, searching for any threat.  When the crew thought it safe they dropped the anchor.  Mariotehplumber quickly rose and raced for the anchor, that was his best bet of getting on board.  He heard shouts from the crew and the anchor began to raise, but it was too late.  With a mighty leap, Mariotehplumber caught the chain with his free hand.  As he was raised towards the airship, Mariotehplumber felt he was several steps closer to rescuing his beloved wife, Rosie...

and finishing off Bowser.
